Benefits of Understanding and Accepting that you are not Irreplaceable
I would like you to note the following:
🌹You are special but not irreplaceable.
🌹You are a genius but life will always move on in your absence.
🌹You are the sweetest person in the world, but people will always have others walk into their lives when you are gone.
🌹You can be missed but not lived without.
🌹Your exact person and uniqueness cannot be replaced. However, there would always be someone that people would adapt to when you are gone, even if that person is a terrible option.
It's a truth that most people are yet to tell themselves, that they are not irreplaceable. However, that is the truth that would set them free. It would marvel you how people can cope really well without you. But that shouldn't surprise you if you have understood and accepted the fact that no one is irreplaceable. You, as well, have had to move on without certain people at some points in life, right?
There is a healthy way of understanding that you are not irreplaceable. It shouldn't make you unproductive, uncommitted, cold or feel less relevant. Rather, It should give you a sense of purpose and order. It should help you prioritize the important things in your life. It should help you make the right decisions when push comes to shove.
With this understanding, you would appreciate the fact that the choice to be in an organization, with someone, or part of a team, is yours to make; and when you are no more there, they would still be alright, with time. Your focus would be on making the most positive impact you can, within the time you are there, and also ensuring that continuity and sustainability (even without you) is built into the system.
What's more?
Accepting that you are not irreplaceable would ensure that you never carry about that dysfunctional thinking that everything depends on you. It would take away the "alpha and omega" mindset that some people have. You know, it's actually detrimental to you to think that nothing would work if you were not there. That's only an illusion. You will watch to see (if you're still alive) how things would be so much better without you. Even if it would become worse, life would still be moving on without you there.
Life in itself, is transitory, and you need to invest your unique contribution wisely. My intent for putting this write-up together is to get you thinking, and ultimately help you to take the right and necessary decisions as well as refine your approach towards life.
I love you enough to tell you that your unique contribution is greatly valued, but you are not irreplaceable! Always do your best wherever you are. However, be safe enough to make the right decisions, when the situation calls for it.
On point!!!
