IT IS ALL ABOUT INTEREST

Everybody has something they will pay any amount to have, even though the price may be high. It is all about need and interest. I have seen trainings offered for free but did not register for them, inspite of the juicy topics and subjects they will treat. But when I saw a training for French language that I had to pay for, I registered for it. That is interest!

This is the same for every other person. There are products and services people will be willing to pay high prices for but have ignored others which were cheaper.

Interest is built. 

In my Adminstrative Law class in 300 level at the University, the lecturer was talking about the Royal family of Britain in passing. I was amazed how she knew so much and spoke as though she was from there. Then I asked her a question, "How do you know about all these?"

"Interest," she replied.

I was like, "Huh?" 

She repeated the same word, "Interest."

I thought to myself that I was not done with my studies and my country, talk more of being interested in the royal family of another nation (not even of my hometown).

We have grown, not only in height or size but in sight: mind-sight.

Life has become bigger and the desire to know about things grew big with it. Interest for things I never knew I could want to decipher or discuss about developed. It is as though, I woke up to them. But for sure, that is not true. It comes as your mindsight expands.

I became interested in studying about money recently because I saw that one cannot accomplish all the big plans one has for people and the world without money. 

Previously, I had this philosophy that one does not need money to start a project but can connect to those who have the money.

As I grew in mindsight, I expanded that philosophy that one needs money to keep the project going and take it to higher heights. That it is important that one has the financial prowess to mobilize those who can offer the services or manpower, in case they are not willing to offer it totally or partly for free. Even charity organizations need money to run. Their workers do not work for free. When they go to make purchases for what they need, they are not given them free of charge when they mention the name of their charity organisation. They pay for every cotton-picking thing! That means someone is paying for all those.

Purpose determines interest!

When you discover purpose or have a glimpse of what you want to give your life for, interest for subject matters connected to that purpose will start developing. Strong interest and serious focus are what you will have, trust me.

If you see yourself as a world leader, the interest to study about subject matters related to international affairs will rise in you. Your money, time, attention, energy, passion, will go into that. You will not need to press the calculator to determine what will be your bank balance if you make expenses toward your interest. You will be focused on filling your mind with information regarding your interest because you perceive a Return  on Investment (ROI) on the way.

So when you are interested in minute matters of life, it reveals your myopic and limited mind-sight. It also exposes that you have not caught a glimpse of what you will give your life towards fulfilling.

When you see yourself interested in gossip blogs, latest bars in town, how to engage in oil bunkering, how to steal from a bank without being caught, how to hack people's bank account, how to be rich without working for it, etc it is not accidental, it is a function of your mindsight. You have not caught the glimpse of what you have been designed for. It is misdirected energy and focus. This will consume your everything, I repeat, your everything.

Therefore, it is better you build interest towards what is profitable by understanding your purpose in life.

Your purpose in life will determine the wisdom that you will seek for, the conversation that you will want to engage in and the environment you will want to be in. If you cannot talk in an environment where what is being discussed is how someone can pick a huge sum of money on the road, it is not your fault. It is just that your status is higher and you have to talk up to go up. So you do not want to talk down so you will not come down to their level.

Again, if you find it difficult to relate in an environment where people talk about transformation, impact, relevance and breaking off from the limitations of the day, make no mistake about it. The matter is with you. You need to step up so as to keep up with that conversation!
