DECIDE WHO WILL EAT YOUR MONEY: A PETITION TO NIGERIANS

It is the people in a country that bring wealth to the country. There's no tree in the Government houses of each state in Nigeria and in Aso rock that yields money to the government for the running of the nation as well as the expenditure on the leaders.

Nigerians should understand that our leaders don't spend their money while serving in any political position. Rather, we are the ones that feed, clothe and pay for their luxurious life. We do this by the direct and indirect taxes we pay. There's nobody in Nigeria that does not pay tax directly or indirectly.

Hence, you should disabuse your mind from thinking that a politician that gives you any amount of money has done you a favor worthy of your loyalty and support. Remember, if that politician gets into power, he will be maintained with your money. He will fly on private jet but you will be trekking or driving on bad roads. 

The tax you pay on the phone calls you make, the personal effects you buy, the food, water and clothing you pay for, the market stall levy, all the payments you make for your driver's license, passport, registration of land documents and other forms of registration, etc. all form part of the money that go to the government. There are a lot of things we pay the government for. The money is used to take care of government officials and sponsor their comfort. 

Meanwhile, I did not mention the natural resources which God gave to us to take care of our needs and advance our country. These natural resources add to the wealth of our nation and this wealth is committed into the hands of our leaders. The wrong leaders, instead of using the wealth we bring to the table to better our country, loot and squander it. This is a situation where a servant steals from his master. Nigerians are the masters, while our leaders are the servants, not the other way around!

Therefore, no politician is doing you any favor by giving you money. Any money or favor a politician gives you is peanuts compared to what he/she will take from you when they get into political positions. They will give you thousands and loot your millions. We have to be futuristic and not sacrifice our birthright for common pottage.

It is imperative for you to choose who will be in charge of the wealth you give to the government. You have the right to decide who will eat your money!!!

It is preferable to vote a leader who has regard for your suffering to contribute to the nation's wealth. Any leader that squanders the country's resources does not have regard for the citizens of that country. Infact, every leader in Nigeria should respect Nigerians because it is our money, the one we laboured for these years that they are spending. Therefore, they should spend it with respect and regard for Nigerians. They should utilize our resources for our betterment and advancement.

Nigerians deserve a Return On their Investment. Yes! You, as a Nigerian, should not beg for light, water, good roads, job, etc. Your ancestors and you have been contributing to the wealth of Nigeria. It is right and appropriate for you to reap the dividends of your labour and that of your fathers.

Don't let any political leader fool you. Anyone who will not better your life in Nigeria should not be voted into any  political position. They cannot eat your money and refuse to do their job. That is broad daylight theft!!!
