THE LEADER NIGERIA NEEDS

A sign of good leadership is the improvement of the standard of living of the people in that nation. There should be an improvement on the economy of the nation.

The bible records that when David was on the throne, the nation of Israel was unconquerable. Israel was a force to the outside world. There was national security and boundary protection.

Also, the economy of Israel was good. It was good to the extent that King David built a magnificent palace without borrowing a dime from any nation. Israel's economy was so good that King David thought to build a temple for God. He had the design of the temple mapped out and the resources were provided by him before he died. The temple was a wonder to behold.

Then Solomon came on board as the King of Israel after his father David. He chose to rule by wisdom and that wisdom set Israel on a pedestal which was higher than the nations of the world.

The Bible records that during King Solomon's reign, silver was like sand in Israel. Solomon brought so much wealth to Israel that Israel exported food to other nations of the world. Israel had enough to eat as well as export.

The Bible also records that during Solomon's reign, great ships from different nations brought their wealth to Israel. Solomon built and maintained good diplomatic relations with other nations. Infact, no single war was fought by Solomon because Israel enjoyed peace during his reign.

The economy of Israel blossomed because of a wise leader.

NIGERIA NEEDS A WISE LEADER!

Economic meltdown, inflation, and the likes negatively impact the economy. It is normal for these to occur in any nation but with a wise leader, there is always a strategy to survive hard times. A wise leader can leverage on hard times to improve his nation's economy.

Egypt was about to face seven years of a terrible famine with the rest of the world. This famine would wipe out the wealth of the nations of the world. It took Joseph's wisdom to save Egypt and the rest of the world from hunger and death throughout the seven years of famine.

God releases wisdom and insight to a man in order to save the nation but when the wisdom is refused and rejected, the people will suffer. It is therefore a display of wisdom when a people put a wise man in the position of leadership.

We, the Nigerian people have not displayed wisdom in the kind of leaders we have elected into power all these years. We have failed to look beyond the charade of political, ethnic, religious, etc sentiments to elect credible leaders who will improve our economy. The same old scorpion of bad leadership has continuously stung us all these years.

Good leadership goes beyond a particular nation. It affects the whole world. If one nation gets it right in leadership, the world is improved. Imagine if the Pharoah of Egypt did not recognise the wisdom and insight of Joseph, Egypt as well as the whole world would have suffered immensely from that famine.

It is noteworthy that every nation gets an opportunity of good leadership but some nations missed it. The citizens of that nation is to be blamed for missing out on a wise leader.

* The citizen who votes a candidate based on sentiments and not credibility is a problem to the nation.

*The citizen who snatches ballot boxes for politicians is a problem to the nation.

*The citizen who is an electoral officer that doctors election results is a problem to the nation.

If these citizens decide to change for good,  the problem of bad leadership will be curbed. It is the people of a nation, for instance Nigeria, that is the nation's problem. It is pertinent for us to sort out and be truthful to ourselves: WE NEED A SAVIOUR.

When we recognise our common interest, which is a  need for a better economy, we will crave for a wise leader and also ensure that such one is voted into power both at the state and federal levels.

NIGERIA and NIGERIANS need a wise leader who recognises our problems, has solutions to them and is willing to sacrifice to see our problems solved.
